We headed to Aston with Total Darkness on Friday for the Novice class. He did a really super test to lead the section by four marks (Total Darkness dressage), had an annoying show-jumping round for two down, but then a great clear cross country to finish 5th.
Big day on Saturday, as we stepped Total Belief (April) up to advanced. This is our first homebred we have taken all the way through to the top level, so quite a milestone for everyone at Team Keen. We also had to hand rear her for the first 2 weeks of her life so she is pretty special to all of us! I was really pleased at how settled she was in the dressage, as an 8 year old she is still green with some of the advanced movements, but scored a really encouraging 31.3. Show-jumping she felt good, but just rolled a few unlucky poles. Cross-country she was phenomenal and jumped a fantastic clear round (April cross-country). With this result she is now right on track for her first CIC*** at Hartpury and then all going well her season aim of Blenheim 8/9yr olds.

A huge, huge thank you to all the incredible event team at Aston, who performed miracles with the ground. So much effort had gone into the going and it was really appreciated.
