A slightly quieter weekend for Team Keen at Gatcombe as we only had the two horses competing, compared to the nearly full house at Sapey!
Our apprentice Leah Bentley was in the novice on Friday with her horse King. They put in a great performance, with a good test, unlucky pole and lovely clear cross country. They are now qualified and entered for their first international CIC* at South of England next week, which is really exciting.
Midnight Chill and owner Clare White pre dressage
I had Midnight Chill, owned by Clare White, running in his first CIC*. He tried really hard in the dressage, which for where he is at the moment, was pleasing. We then came back on Sunday for the jumping and he was mega, performing an easy double clear and going inside the time cross country. He finished in 16th place out of a 130 starters. I am so pleased with him and for his owner Clare White, he was brilliant and is now all set for Osberton 6 year old Championships!
