Brilliant weekend at Bicton Arena – one of the favourite Team Keen events.
Quintessential (Chilli) did her second novice class and went really well. She had a couple of green moments in probably the most challenging test she has done so far, but scored a very respectable 31. We had an unlucky pole in the showjumping where she just ran on slightly and then a solid clear cross country albeit a steady one as she learning the ropes at this level.
Leaping Lord, owned by Margaret Cuff, really pulled it out the bag and did a much more relaxed test for 34 (11 mark improvement from our last outing!) and then a great double clear to finish just outside the top 10 in the ON.
We headed back on Sunday with 5YO Total Freedom (Juno) and our working pupil Leah was also competing. Juno was fab for her 2nd ever event, scoring 27 in the dressage, 1 down showjumping and then a lovely round cross country. Leah also had a great day jumping a fab double clear.
Huge huge thanks to the event organisers and volunteers at Bicton, for as always putting on a top weekend of competition.
Also to all the team helping me at the event and at home, I couldn’t do it without you all ?
