We headed to Bicton for the last Team Keen event of the season. On board we had Barrison and Leaping Lord owned by Margaret Cuff and our working pupil Leah and her horse King, all contesting the CIC*.
Barrison was first up and tried really hard in his test to get a solid score in the early 30s. He is not quite established yet at this level, so I was really pleased with him. He had two down in the show-jumping, but jumped a good round. He then went on to do a class round cross-country round in his first attempt at a 1* to come home clear. He has come a long way in the 2 months I have had him and I am excited for what’s to come next season.
Leaping Lord managed to stay calm in his trot work during his test, but then sadly some tension did creep in. However, there were improvements and we will keep working on this through the winter. He then went on to jump a super double clear, but we took it steady cross country.
Lots to look forward to with both horses.

Leah did a great job in her second 1* on a horse she has produced herself, finishing their season with a lovely clear cross-country.
A huge thank you to Helen and all the team at Bicton for putting on such a super end of year event, it was brilliantly rganised and we all really enjoyed our stay.
